Bhutan is a country of bio-diversity, vivacious religion, magnificence culture, and unique arts.
The excellent tourist infrastructures, bizarre sights and outstanding festivals always mesmerize the visitors. A quieter, dreamier collection of alpine valleys is the attraction of the trip. Bhutan is sheltering some mammals such as Takin (National Animal of Bhutan), Golden Lungur (monkeys’ family) Royal Bengal Tiger, leopard and red pandas, and in the birds family: black eagle, owl, tiny black-throated parrots.

During the tour you will visit western part of Bhutan, where you can experience the culturally Bhutanese life style, how they are differ in festivals.

  • Day 01
    Arrival at Paro (by Druk Air) then transfer to hotel

    Bhutans national airlines-Druk Air transfers you to the Paro, the first present of Paro is a neat, clean, cool and fresh air. After clearing the visa and custom our representative welcomes you and transfer you to hotel.

  • Day 02
    Sightseeing in and around Paro

    After breakfast, you will visit some place of Paro such as Ta Dzong (national Museum), Paro Rimpung Dzong on the way to cross the Cantilever Bridge (Built in 16th Century). With visiting Drugyel Dzong- a victory fortress, farmhouses observing the traditional Bhutanese way of life, you will reach Thimpu.

  • Day 03
    Sightseeing in and around Thimphu

    Before starting the tour you have to exchange the local currency so your guide will take you to the Bhutan National Bank, once you exchange the tour will be started. First, you will visit National Memorial Chorten that was built in 1974 on the memory of 3rd King. Next are National library and National Museum where you will explore the ancient manuscript, textile museum, and art-craft school.

    Drive to Gangtey/Phobjikha from Thimpu

    Todays trip gives you perfect panoramic views of Bhutanese Himalayan ranges from the Pass Dochu La. After crossing the pass the Phobjikha Valley give you chance to see rare and endangered black-necked cranes, and also Gangte Goemba, which was built in the 17th century. Explore the village.

    Drive from Gangtey to Bumthang

    After breakfast drive to the Pele La (3300m) to get Trongsa. At Trongsa, you visit superb dzong and museums en-route you will stop at Chendebji Chorten, which is made in Nepali style by Lama Shida from Tibet in the 18th century and the place is quite popular for the picnic. Finally reaching towards Trongsa.

    From Trongsa trail leads to Bumthang via Chumey village with shops, they sell Yathra- a woolen textile typically knitted woolen fabric in numerous colors and patterns. The town Bumthang is also famous for Yathra. The trail follows the blue pine forest until crossing Kiki La and descend to Choekor Valley.

    Sightseeing in and around Bumthang

    This town is made out of four valleys Chumey, Choekhor, Tang and Ura in different altitude from 2,600 m to 4000 m. In Choekhor village you will be visiting Jampey Lhakhang instituted on the 7th century by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo, Kurjey Lhakhang and another is Tamshing Goemba- founded in 1501 by Terton Pema Lingpa the reincarnation of Guru Rimpoche and in Tang valley, you will be visiting Burning Lake at Membarstsho and Ogyen Chholing Museum. After visiting the monasteries/ goombas you will take you the farmland of locals to explore the Bhutanese lifestyle and religions and also visit Swiss Farmland, which produces Swiss Cheese, honey etc.

    Drive through Trongsa to Punakha

    Today is the day drive to Punkha leaving Bumthang via Wangdiphodrang. En route again we see Trongsa Dzong built in 1648, which is the biggest fortresses of country.

    Sightseeing in Punkha with overnight accommodation in Paro

    Punkha Dzong was built in 1637, which is situated in land between two rivers Phochu and Mochu. The Dzong is also district administrative and judiciary office as well as winter home for Je Khenpo- a spiritual leader and monks of Thimpu and Punkha. On the way you will go to Lobesa, take lil hike to Chimi Lhakhang Temple, temple of Drukpa Kuenley. It is believed that women will blesses who is seeking fertility.

    Sightseeing around Paro

    Today you will hike up to the Taktsang Monastery a dramatic Tiger Nest built in 1600; incredible monastery grips to the edge of a sheer rock cliff that plunges 900m. According to the history, a Guru called Padma Sambhava landed here on the back of flying tiger to meditate. He had meditated there for three months and established Buddhism.

    After breakfast, our airport representative will drop you to the Paro International Airport for your flight departure from Bhutan.

This is a section where you get the general idea equipment that you need in Bhutan Core Culture Tour. The important and serious part of equipment selection depends on the trekking season, trekking days, and maximum altitude.

Trekkers personal goods such as money purse, cameras, cell phones and the cosmetic items that you need in day time, while you are hiking. Porter carries others your heavy equipment.

  6. Lip balm. At least SPF 20, 2 sticks.
  7. Sunscreen. SPF 40 is recommended and should be relatively new since it loses its effectiveness over time
  8. Toiletry kit. Be sure to include toilet paper stored in a plastic bag, hand wipes, and liquid hand sanitizer, towel, soap, etc

The above list guides for you to buy the goods. There are so many options for you, they different brand and version, so it would be better to buy as per your experience. Most of the things are easily available in Kathmandu as well in cheap price.

Please Note: The tight fighting clothing such as made with Lycra can often be offensive to locals. So if you find these items comfortable please kindly wear top of them.

I have never thought of myself as a hiker or a trekker, but somehow, the idea of trekking through the Himalayas and venturing through Nepals and the worlds highest mountain seems exhilarating and almost out of reach. I did the trek to Mount Everest Base Camp in October 2013, and it was and still is one of the best experience in my life.
