The major palace Kathmandu Durbar lies in the center part of Kathmandu. It is 20 minutes walking distance from Thamel Bazaar. It is also popular as the Basantapur Durbar. The large yard of Durbar is a public place for organizing the cultural program, such as Holi. There is a building of Kumari where a living Goddess Kumari is staying. Another is a tall temple Taleju can see but it open only a day of Dashain in all over the year. Bhaktapur Durbar Square:
Bhaktapur Durbar is about 15km from Thamel. It is also most visiting and largest palace. It has includes different temples with tallest Naytapol Temple. Also kept pottery works, cultural attractions. The narrow brick paved gully with wooden carved balconies above the tiny hole in the wall. Lion’s gate, golden gates are the famous in Bhaktapur. It is also the good location of filming. Most of the music videos, movies are shooting here.

Patan Durbar Square:
Patan Durbar Square is located in Lalitpur, about 10km from Thamel. It is also the well-known palace of the valley. The museum, Krishna Temple, and wood carving are the major attraction of Patan. Naryanhiti Durbar:
Narayanhiti Durbar is a palace of former King Gyanendra Shah. It was built in the 1960s by Shah dynasty. Now, Nepal is the Federal Republic so it has opened for public as a museum. Narayanhiti lies in Durbarmarg.

Pashupatinath Temple: 
Pashupatinath is the world’s most popular Hindu Shrine. Located on the bank of holy river Bagmati. Mainly two festival, Teej, and Mahashivaratri is a most visiting day. On the occasion of Shivaratri, the Sadhus, pilgrims comes from various countries. It is not only a temple also the place of dead body cremation. Daskhinkali Temple:
It lies at outskirts of Kathmandu (southern edge). Daskhinkali is the most popular temple in Kathmandu. The temple belongs to Kali. Twice in a week, there are sacrifices of male animals to Kali. It is important that all male animal should be uncastrated. Tuesday and Saturday are the sacrificial days.

Chagunarayan Temple: 
Changunarayan Temple stands on a hilltop at the eastern ends of the Kathmandu Valley. The temple had built in 2 hundred centuries ago.
