The pagoda style temples, historical and heritages sites never allow to even blink the eyes, each and every corner you can see the temple, thats why Kathmandu valley is also known as the City of Temples. And next day drive to Nagarkot, a hill station for breathtaking sunrise over the Himalaya such as Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Gauri Shankar and Mt. Everest.

Outdoor from the valley firstly you will be in Chitwan National Park. Visiting National Park is an another exciting, touring on the back of an elephant, jeep drive, bird watching, canoeing, and selling the boat at Rapti river, not only this also you will get a chance to see those endangered animals such as Royal Bengal Tiger, One Horned Rhino.

Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Buddha, which is one of the holiest places in the world especially for Buddhist like Jerusalem for Christian and Mecca for Muslim. After visiting Lumbini next day drive to Pokhara via Palpa. Rani Mahal is the main attraction of Palpa, which was built by Governor Khadga Samsher Rana in memory of his wife Tej Kumari after her death. The town Tansen is another attraction of Palpa where King Sen family was ruled around 300 years ago.

Pokhara is another most touristic city of the nation for either domestic or international. Fewa, Rupa, and Begnas lake are decorating the town in collaboration Mt. Machhpurchhre. The significance of visiting Pokhara are Tal Barahi Temple, which lies in the middle of Phewa Lake, Gupteswor Cave, Bindabasini Temple, a museum of Gurkha Warriors, and activities like Paragliding over the city and lake, hiking up to Sarangkot for sparkling sunrise over the Himalaya.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 01
    Arrival at the Tribuwan International Airport in Kathmandu (1,345m). Pre-trip meeting at the office

    Our Airports representative welcomes at Airport and transfers you to the hotel in a private tourist vehicle. We organize a meeting in your hotel, introduce with your tour leader and give a short briefing about the tour. Also, you can ask your guide if you have any questions regarding the tour. For meeting you should have to bring given documents:

  • Day 02
    Sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley

    After your breakfast, the tour guide will pick you up at 8:30 AM and take you to the sightseeing. The places are:

    Swoyambhunath Stupa - The Monkey Temple (World Heritage Site)
    Swoyambhunath is the holiest place of Buddhism and also Hinduism, which lies in the top of the hill. On the top of the hill, there is a huge stupa, which is made for Buddhist other temples for Hindus. The place also called Monkey Temple because on the premises we can see the countless monkey.

    Kathmandu Durbar Square (World Heritage Site)

    Kathmandu Durbar Square was built in the in the era of the 12th/13th century, where Malla King Dynasty ruled over the city. Later on, King Prithvi Narayan Shah came from Gorkha District and invaded kingdom, finally select the Durbar Square for his own palace in 1769 AD. The Durbar has many difference exotic architectural design, wood carving in windows and doors. The courtyard, temples, Kumari (a living god) is the main attraction of Durbar Square. Inside the square, there is a museum of belongs to King’s and reflects off his regime period.

    Pashupatinath Temple (World Heritage Site)

    Pashupatinath Temple, most sacred Hindu shrines in the world, which is opulently decorated pagoda. Pashupatinath is a temple of Lord Shiva and his Linga (Phallic Symbol of Lord). According to the chronology, it was erstwhile to 400AD. In Pashupatinath, you can see the cremation of a dead body and devotees’ dips in holy river Bagmati. Just opposite the temple, there is a jungle, where you can see the monkeys, deer, and some other animals.

  • Day 03
    Hike to the Shivapuri National Park.

    After your breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide then drive to Budhanilkantha Temple where you can see the slumbered statue of Lord Vishnu. Afterward, you will hike up to the Shivapuri Conservation Area, which is the government-protected jungle. During the hike, there is no more shop that is why you will serve pack lunch. You can see more than hundred types of birds with wildlife animals.

  • Day 04
    Five-hour drive to the Chitwan National Park on a tourist vehicle

    Today you drive to Chitwan National Park through the beautiful scenery of Jungle and River. After 5hrs you will get to Chitwan. The national park protects the 43 species of mammals. Inside the jungle, you can see some endangered animals like one-horned rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger, Gharial Crocodile and other many common animals and birds.

  • Day 05
    Activities in the Chitwan National Park

    Early morning you will have tea/coffee and take you to Elephant safari, Bird watching and Jungle walks and back to resort. After having breakfast you will heads up to observe the crocodiles along the banks of Narayani River and again back to the resort to having lunch. Take rest for an hour and again guide will take you to Jungle walk and observations tower, nature walk with the boat ride and back to camp, have dinner.

    Drive to Lumbini on a tourist vehicle

    Today our journey is driving to Lumbini- the birthplace of historys most revered and greatest figure of Siddhartha Gautam- popularly known as lord Buddha. And it is not a big surprise to know that listed in World Heritage site by UNESCO. It takes about 5 hrs to get Lumbini. Where you can visit the Maya Devi Temple, Ashoka Pilar, birthplace, playground, the yard of Buddha and also the various temples built by different countries.

  • Day 07
    3-hour drive to Palpa on a tourist vehicle, then onto Pokhara

    The short drive from Lumbini you will reach Palpa within 3hrs. Palpa is famous for the Nepali Cap, called Dhaka Topi. And there is also a palace “ Ranimahal” that was built by a king on a behalf of his beloved. The scenario of Palpa is one of the best of the tour. After visiting Plapa you will head to Pokhara, a city of lakes.

    30-minute drive to Sarangkot for sunrise and mountain views, back to Pokhara

    Wake up early in the morning and 30 minutes drive to Sarangkot to see the sunrise over the snowcapped mountain, which is one of the best destinations for Sunrise and Sunset. From the hill, you can see the Mt. Machhapuchre, Mt. Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Spend the day over the Sarangkot and back to Pokhara then walk around the city and lake.

    Guided sightseeing in Pokhara

    After your breakfast, the trip will be at 8:30 AM by the professional tourist guide. The places are:

    Phewa Lake and Barahi Temple
    Phewa Lake and Barahi temple are the ornaments of Pokhara city. Barahi temple lies in the middle of Phewa Lake, which is two storied pagoda style temple of Goddess. To get to Barahi temple you need to boat in the traditional boat with the paddle. Mt. Machhapuchhre (fishtail) and Annapurna can reflect on the lake.

    Seti River Gorges
    Seti River is literally meaning White River. The wonderful gorge can be seen from K.I Singh Bridge, at Bagar, Mahendrapool and Prithvi Highway bridges. The gorge is made by the turbulent flow of the river.

    Devis fall

    Davi’s fall also known as Patale Chhango, which is tremendously popular in either domestic or International tourist. It’s a really amazing scene of the rainbow with sunlight when a volume of water falls in the deep rocky gorge.

    Gupteswar Cave

    Gupteshowr cave is not only caved it is also the way to Gupteshwor Mahadev Temple, Hindu people worship Lord Mahadev inside the cave. The cave is almost 300m long, and under a cave, you need to also crawl by yourself.

    On the way to tour you will visit two more different museums, a museum is dedicated to Gurkha Warriors who fought in the fierce war: World War and other many numerous operations around 1815s.     7-hour drive back to Kathmandu on a tourist vehicle

    After breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu via Prithivi Highway.  The landscape, farmland, and rivers views from the highway are very interesting and make the highway drive enjoyable.  On the way to Kathmandu, you will stop somewhere in highway bazaar for fresh fruits and lunch. In the evening in Kathmandu, you can walk around for some shopping.

    Sightseeing in Pharping, Godawari and Patan Durbar Square

    In Kathmandu valley there are some places, which are, must have to visit Pharping, Dakshinkali, Patan, and Godawari.


    Pharping is lying in the southern part of the city, which is renowned. Pharping is also known as Shikharpuri Mahanagari. The state is accepted as an independent Newari state; there you can see the typical Newari Culture.

    Dakshinkali Temple
    Dakshinkali is 22 KM far from Kathmandu city via Pharping. It is a temple of Kali, terrible form Parvati (wife of Lord Shiva). The main goddess of the temple is Six- armed form of Kali, a black stone; the main method of worship is sacrificed especially on Saturday and Tuesday.

    Patan Durbar Square (World Heritage Site)
    Patan Durbar Square is a palace decorated with artistic courtyard beautiful pagoda temples. A noticeable temple built to dedicated to Lord Krishna, which is made by stone in the 17th century. In Durbar Square there is a museum containing bronze statues and religious objects. The trip of Patan also covers the Tibetan Refugee Camp and Handicraft Center.

    Sightseeing at Boudhanath Stupa, Changunarayan Temple and drive to Nagarkot in the evening

    Today you will visit Buddhanath Stupa, which lies in northern- east part of Kathmandu about 11 Km from Thamel city. Another is Chagunarayan on the way to Nagarkot.

    Bouddhanath Stupa
    Bouddhanath stupa is located in eastern part of Kathmandu city sacred pilgrim destination of Buddhist. The loom of Stupa is 36 meters height and presents captivating specimens of Stupa design.

    Changunarayan Temple (World Heritage Site)
    Chagunarayan Temple is located in the countryside of Bhaktapur. King Hari Dutta Verma built a temple in 323 AD, which is richly decorated with sculptures and carvings. The main god of the temple is Lord Vishnu and building is under the architect under the pagoda.

    Nagarkot is a best and nearest hill station from Kathmandu, from where you can see the excellent view of snow-capped peaks of Himalayan Range in the eastern part. Nagarkot is also the best for sunrise view.

    Sunrise view from Nagarkot and Sightseeing in Bhaktapur.

    Wake up early in the morning for outstanding sunrise over the Himalaya. After breakfast visits the town around the hill and back to Bhaktapur. Visiting the Durbar Square is rewarding of whole trips, where you can see the ancient carving architecture, stone temple, pottery house, Golden gate Temple, 55 windows Durbar, a statue of great king Bhupatindra Malla, art galleries.

    Free day in Kathmandu

    Today you will have a free day in Kathmandu city; you can walk around to explore the city. In the evening Apex the Asia Holidays will provide you farewell dinner in a Typical Nepali restaurant. Dinner will enjoy with Nepali folk dance and music.

I have never thought of myself as a hiker or a trekker, but somehow, the idea of trekking through the Himalayas and venturing through Nepals and the worlds highest mountain seems exhilarating and almost out of reach. I did the trek to Mount Everest Base Camp in October 2013, and it was and still is one of the best experience in my life.
