Nepal is one of the best destinations for Himalaya, Heritage sites, Temple, Stupa and religious sites. In the tour ‘Nepal Vistas you will cover Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Pokhara, and Chitwan.

Kathmandu is a city of temple and religious places including world heritage sites; Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square. The short drive from Kathmandu to Nagarkot gives a taste of the hilly region and greenery with panoramic views of Himalaya such as Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Gauri Shankar, as well as Mt. Everest.

From Nagarkot to Pokhara is about seven hours driving distance. Pokhara, the city of lakes: Phewa, Rupa, and Begnas. Phewa Lake is most visited lake because it has to hold Barahi Temple in the middle of the lake. In Pokhara, there are so many places to explore holy places to historical museums that are dedicated to Gurkha Warriors and Sarangkot hill and World Peace Stupa. From the hill, you will see the Annapurna Himalayan range counting Machhapurchhre, a holy mountain.

Traveling to Chitwan National Park is a different experience of the tour where you will enjoy with wildlife on Elephant back and Jeep drive. Bird watching, canoeing in Rapti River is another attraction of Chitwan.

Another thrilling highlight of the tour is mountain flight of one hour. The flight offers the contiguous view of mountain of Nepal and also Tibetan peaks.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 01
    Arrival at the Tribuwan International Airport in Kathmandu (1,345m)

    The Airport representative will greets you on Tribhuwan International airport and transfer to your hotel.

  • Day 02
    Pre-trip meeting and sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley. Drive to the Nagarkot.

    After your breakfast we organize a meeting in the hotel lobby; in the meeting, you will introduce with your guide also we give you some general information about the tour. Please requesting you to bring following documents for the meeting:
    -Two copies of your passport size photos (each of travelers)
    -Traveling insurance copy
    When we finished meeting then your day tour will start, today after completing the tour, you will drive to Nagarkot, so make sure your essential things/ clothes (warm cloth for winter only) for a night. Overnight at a hotel

    The places we visit will include:
    Pashupatinath Temple (World Heritage Site)
    Pashupatinath Temple, most sacred Hindu shrines in the world, which is the opulently decorated pagoda. Pashupatinath is a temple of Lord Shiva and his Linga (Phallic Symbol of Lord). According to the chronology, it was erstwhile to 400AD. In Pashupatinath, you can see the crimination of the dead body and devotees dip in holy river Bagmati. Just opposite the temple, there is a jungle, where you can see the monkeys, deer, and some other animals.

    Bouddhanath Stupa (World Heritage Site)
    Buddhanath stupa is located in eastern part of Kathmandu city sacred pilgrim destination of Buddhist. The loom of Stupa is 36 meters height and presents captivating specimens of Stupa design.

    Bhaktapur Durbar Square (Bhadgaon)
    Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a durbar square, which has a collection Shikhara, and Pagoda style temples and 55-windows palace of brick and wood. The main fascination of Bhaktapur is Lions Gate, Golden Gate, Statue of King Bhupatindra Malla, art galleries, and 55 windows palace. After completing the tour you drive to Nagarkot.

  • Day 03
    Drive to Pokhara on a tourist bus, van or car

    Wake up early in the morning for sunrise view over the Himalaya, you can see the continuous chain of the mountain in the north and a spectacular view of Kathmandu Valley in the south and after breakfast, you will travel to Pokhara. It takes about 7hrs to get Pokhara. You will drive through the beautiful Prithivi Highway, the cultivated area of Dhading, Banana farmland of Tanahu, waterfalls, rivers, villages and highway bazaar.

  • Day 04
    Days 04 & 05- Guided sightseeing in Pokhara

    Sightseeing trip will start after your breakfast at 8:30 AM and your guide will pick you up from your hotel in a private tourist vehicle. In a whole day you will visit following places:

    Phewa Lake and Barahi Temple
    Phewa Lake and Barahi temple are the ornaments of Pokhara city. Barahi temple lies in the middle of Phewa Lake, which is two storied pagoda style temple of Goddess. To get to Barahi temple you need to boat in the traditional boat with the paddle. Mt. Machhapurchhre (fishtail) and Annapurna can reflect on the lake.

    Seti River Gorges
    Seti River is literally meaning White River. The wonderful gorge can be seen from K.I Singh Bridge, at Bagar, Mahendrapool, and Prithivi Highway bridges. The gorge is made by the turbulent flow of the river.

    Devis fall
    Davis falls also known as Patale Chhango, which is tremendously popular in either domestic or International tourist. Its a really amazing scene of the rainbow with sunlight when a volume of water falls in the deep rocky gorge.

    Gupteswar Cave
    Gupteshowr cave is not only cave it is also the way to Gupteshowr Mahadev Temple, Hindu people worship Lord Mahadev inside the cave. The cave is almost 300m long, and under the cave, you need to also crawl by four.

    On the way to tour, you will visit two more different museums, a museum is dedicated to Gurkha Warriors who fought in the fierce war: World War and other many numerous operations around 1815s. And another one displays the lifestyle and history of Thakalis, Tharu, and Gurungs families.

  • Day 06
    Drive to Sarankot for sunrise and mountain views, and then continue onto the Chitwan National Park

    Early get up and trip to Sarangkot. Firstly you will travel on tourist vehicle and hike up to Sarangkot Hill from where you can see the closest view of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Machhapurchhre, Mt. Dhaulagiri and other peaks as well as the best scene of Pokhara and Phewa Lake. Afterward, the views from the hill, back to the hotel, have breakfast and drive to Chitwan National Park. You will drive over the same highway up to Muglin and then turn to the right towards Chitwan. The highway follows the Narayani river until we get Narayanghat. Finally, reach the resort and take the lunch, attend some activities inside the national park, such as elephant safari, bird watching and evening see the widening view of the sunset over the Jungle.

  • Day 07
    Activities in the Chitwan National Park

    Early morning you will have tea/coffee and take you to Elephant safari, Bird watching and Jungle walks and back to resort. After having breakfast you will heads up to observe the crocodiles along the banks of Narayani River and again back to the resort to having lunch. Take rest for an hour and again guide will take you to Jungle walk and observations tower, nature walk and boat ride and back to camp, have dinner.

  • Day 08
    More activities in Chitwan, and drive back to Kathmandu

    After breakfast, finishes the remaining activities in Chitwan and drive back to Kathmandu, it takes about 6hrs. Drive through the Prithivi Highway, views from of high hill, the gorge of Narayani, farmland of Dhadhing are incredible and make the drive very enjoyable. In evening you will have leisure time if you like to walk around in the city, visit the oldest market Ason and Indrachowk.

    Guided sightseeing in Kathmandu

    The trip will start at 8:30 AM after breakfast.

    Swoyambhunath Stupa - The Monkey Temple (World Heritage Site)
    Swoyambhunath is the holiest place of Buddhism and also Hinduism, which lies at the top of the hill. On the top of the hill, there is a huge stupa, which is made for Buddhist other temples for Hindus. The place also called Monkey Temple because on the premises we can see the countless monkey.

    Kathmandu Durbar Square (World Heritage Site)
    Kathmandu Durbar Square was built in the in the era of the 12th/13th century, where Malla King Dynasty ruled over the city. Later on, King Prithvi Narayan Shah came from Gorkha District and invaded kingdom, finally select the Durbar Square for his own palace in 1769 AD. The Durbar has many difference exotic architectural design, wood carving in windows and doors. The courtyard, temples, Kumari (a living god) is the main attraction of Durbar Square. Inside the square, there is a museum of belongs to Kings and reflects of his regime period.

    Patan Durbar Square (World Heritage Site)
    Patan Durbar Square is a palace decorated with artistic courtyard beautiful pagoda temples. A noticeable temple built to dedicated to Lord Krishna, which is made of stone in the 17th century. In Durbar Square there is a museum containing bronze statues and religious objects. The trip of Patan also covers the Tibetan Refugee Camp and Handicraft Center.

    Everest mountain flight and farewell dinner in Kathmandu

    Today you will have mountain flight, so you have to get up early morning, your guide will pick you up and transfer to the airport. The one hours flight offers you very closer views of mountains and awe-inspiring massifs of rocks and aerial views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Kanchenjunga and other peaks in Tibetan border. Afterward the flight you will have leisure time you can walk around the city and evening your guide will pick you up for your farewell dinner in a local typical Nepali restaurant with folk songs and dances.

I have never thought of myself as a hiker or a trekker, but somehow, the idea of trekking through the Himalayas and venturing through Nepals and the worlds highest mountain seems exhilarating and almost out of reach. I did the trek to Mount Everest Base Camp in October 2013, and it was and still is one of the best experience in my life.
