Shivapuri National Park is located on the northern west from the Kathmandu city. It is the second highest hill nearby the valley at the altitude of 2563m. It is the major catchment area of Bagmati and Bishumati river. This only a national park which is surrounded by 111km long brick wall.

Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport. You will be welcomed by our airport representative and take you to your hotel.
After a short drive to Budhanilkantha, you will start the hike up to the hill through the deep forest of Shivapuri National Park, along with the trail you will see some wildlife such as deer, monkeys, and possibilities to see the tigers. The ascending trail passes the monastery; which is famous for among foreigners and locals who want to practice the Buddhism and meditations. The continuing trail goes up to the hill at the altitude of 2563m, there you can see the ground which collecting the popularities as the Kailash Parbat, the homeland of God Shiva. From the top of the hill, you will see the stunning panoramic view of Ganesh Himal, Jugal Himal, Manaslu Himalaya Range Langtang Himalaya Range.
It is a Hindu temple located at the base of Shivapuri Hill, the northern part of the Kathmandu Valley. The literally meaning of the temple is an old blue throat. The name Nilakantha given after lord Shiva swallowed the poison, which arose during the Samundra Mathan for Amrit.
